We are seeking an experienced Data Analysis & Process Improvement Professional with a background in projects related to Payroll, HRIS, Compensation, Finance or Human Resources.
The role will support both the Canada Payroll Manager in day-to-day operations and the Global Payroll Leader in driving key payroll transformation projects across regions combining analytical expertise, process improvement, and data-driven insights to enhance payroll accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
Responsibilities
Operational Support
- Identify and implement process improvements in the payroll journey to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Lead process automation initiatives.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize dashboards and internal data products.
- Create and develop effective and automated payroll processes and control checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of payroll runs.
- Ensure data needs and insights are communicated effectively and actionably.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency improvements through data analysis.
- Spearhead the creation and delivery of regular reports and presentations that highlight key data insights and recommendations.
- Generate and analyze payroll reports for leadership and offer data-driven recommendations that influence strategic decision-making.
- Build Excel, Power BI, TM1and other data dashboards and reports
- Develop complex data models to assist with the team's reporting and process needs
- Support payroll audits by preparing accurate data and responding to audit queries
- Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
Strategic Global Projects Support
- Collaborate directly with the Global Payroll Leader on enterprise-wide payroll transformation projects and standardization initiatives.
Key Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and data visualization tools. (Ex: Power BI, TM1 or similar OLAP, HRIS)
- Knowledge of TM1 or other OLAP tools is an asset.
- Knowledge of BST11 is a plus
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement, data governance, or automation projects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- High attention to detail with strong problem-solving, problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills for a multiple priorities’ environment.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
- Full professional proficiency in English (both written and verbal) is required.
Education
- Post-secondary education in Data Analytics, Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Experience
- 5+ years of proven experience in data analytics, with a portion of this experience focused on Payroll, HRIS, Finance, Accounting or HR related projects.
- Experience working in a multi-country or in a global environment is desirable.
