Your Role

As a Data Analyst on our Data Engineering team, you will play a critical role in transforming our logistics operations through data-driven insights. You will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing industry specific data to help us understand trends, optimize operations, and make informed decisions. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing our proprietary technology tools and improving our service offerings to our stakeholders and customers.

 

 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Collect and interpret data, analyzing results, and reporting the findings back to relevant stakeholders
  • Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with data engineering and product management teams
  • Be available for on-call support as needed
  • Other job duties as assigned

 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • BS/BA (or higher) in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related degree
  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis or a related field
  • A service-oriented mindset
  • Experience working with data engineering teams.
  • Experience working out of a cloud data management platform
  • Experience with Azure Cloud
  • Proficiency in SQL required
  • Proficiency in data visualization and exploration tools like PowerBI
  • Additional working knowledge of Python or Spark is preferred
  • Experience with data modeling, cleansing, and visualization techniques
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate complex data in a simple, actionable way
  • Ability to work independently and with team members from different backgrounds
  • Excellent attention to detail
