Data & AI Specialist (12 Month Contract)

Cloudera is seeking a Graduate/Post Graduate to join its MEDI Professional Services team. In this role you’ll have the opportunity to
develop massively scalable solutions to propose and solve complex AI/ML use cases using Hadoop, NiFi, Spark and related Big Data
technology. This role is both internal and also client facing opportunity that combines consulting skills with deep technical design and
development in the Data space. This role will present the successful candidate the opportunity to travel across the Mediterranean
Region and across multiple industries and large customer organisations.

As a Data & AI Specialist you will:
● Work internally with PS/SE Teams to define and frame use cases and for different industries
● Work directly with customers to implement AI solutions and use cases at scale using the Cloudera Data
Platform
● Analyse complex distributed production deployments, and make recommendations to optimise performance
● Able to document and present complex AI solutions to functional and Technical Teams
● Work closely with Cloudera’ teams at all levels to help ensure the success of project consulting
engagements with customers. Drive projects with customers to successful completion
● Develop and Frame compelling use cases and demo for AI in different industries
● Write and produce technical documentation, blogs and knowledge-base articles
● Participate in the pre-and post- sales process, helping both the sales and product teams to interpret
customers’ requirements
● ability to ask the right questions, think analytically, and develop creative solutions for complex data
challenges.
● Clearly explaining technical insights to diverse audiences, including non-technical stakeholders, and
building narrative-driven reports and presentations.
● Keep current with Cloudera ecosystem technologies
● Become able to perform platform installation and upgrades for advanced secured cluster configurations
● Attend speaking engagements when needed and Travel up to 50%

We’re excited about you if you have:
● Bachelor's degree in related field of study.
● Data Science expertise and experience/understanding executing data driven solutions
● Hands on experience with AI & Machine Learning Solutions
● Proficient in programming languages: Python, R, SQL
● Expertise in building and evaluating various algorithms, including deep neural networks (CNNs, RNNs), and understanding
concepts like classification, regression, and reinforcement learning
● The ability to clean, organize, and prepare large datasets for analysis, often using tools like Pandas and Dplyr.
● Familiarity with tools like Apache Spark for processing and analyzing massive datasets.
● Skills in tools like Tableau, Power BI, and Matplotlib to effectively communicate complex findings through compelling
visuals.
● Understanding industry trends and business operations to align data insights with organizational objectives
● willingness to learn new technologies, adapt to evolving methods, and stay current in the rapidly changing AI and data
science fields
● An understanding of the moral and societal implications of data handling and AI deployment, including data privacy and
security.
● Knowledge of the data management eco-system including: Concepts of data warehousing, ETL, data integration, etc.
● Fluent in Italian & English any additional languages would be a plus
