Job Description
Performs physical or administrative duties related to the shipping, receiving, storage, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. Unpacks and checks received merchandise according to purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received merchandise, and rejects unacceptable items. Lifts heavy items and may use a forklift. Prepares and maintains records of shipped merchandise. Detailed weights and shipping charges are recorded, and products are prepared for final shipment. Examines, stores, and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines. May prepare kit packages for assembly production.
