Senior Engineer
The Information Systems Engineer designs information systems that are appropriate for users' needs and consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture. TIAA has an opportunity for a Sr. End-User Security Engineer (M365) to provide support their End User Services (EUS) Collaboration Technology team. This role will design, implement, test, deploy & support TIAA's Microsoft 365 cloud ecosystem, with particular focus on security & compliance capabilities.
This role will play a critical part in ensuring that TIAA's Microsoft 365 tenants and workloads remain compliant with all internal and regulatory policies so that Collaboration Technology is able to continue providing a safe and secure collaborative experience to all associates. This position can be located in their Charlotte, NC or Iselin, NJ office. This is a great opportunity to enhance your skills and learn new technologies.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Formulates system scope through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems.
- Evaluates and implements changes to existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary.
- Reviews flow charts, models, and procedures and feasibility studies to design possible system solutions.
- Reviews technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the system.
- Collaborates with system analysts, engineers, and programmers to design systems and to determine project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, systems performance standards, and interfaces.
- Identifies and documents all system constraints, implications and consequences of various proposed system changes.
- Educates end users on system designs and functionalities through creation of training materials and conducting demos.
- Evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of application operations and troubleshooting problems.

Responsibilities:
- Implement and Maintain Microsoft 365 policies surrounding information protection, data loss prevention, MCAS, communication compliance, data retention, records management, eDiscovery, insider risk management and others as defined by stakeholders
- Create visibility to security & compliance events using Splunk, Power BI or other tooling
- Participate in vulnerability assessments, insider threat investigations and other security/compliance related operations, problems and incidents
- Maintain operational and configuration documentation
- Coordinate and manage security policy, compliance assessments and their activities, developing remediation strategies, and assessing mitigated controls
- Conduct Compliance Manager assessments & following through on recommendations
- Continuously evaluate new offerings from Microsoft and other providers to maintain a threat-free environment
- Perform testing / POC on new security and compliance capabilities to prove they will work in TIAA's environment

- Minimum of three (3) years' experience with Microsoft 365 Operations & Engineering
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience with Microsoft Information Protection, Compliance Manager, Records Management, Insider Risk Management and other Microsoft 365 security & compliance tooling
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience using PowerShell scripting
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience working with information security best practices and techniques appropriate for a large enterprise
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience with Azure AD, Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, M365 groups
Preferred:
- Excellent problem solving, collaboration & communication skills
- Familiar with Agile methodologies
- Possess Certifications: Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), Microsoft Azure Certifications
