Description

SAIC is currently looking for a Cyber Engineer / Architect to join it's growing team. This is a great opportunity that allows for growth opportunities.

In this role you will perform the following:

Architects, plans, evaluates, configures, deploys, maintains, and upgrades COTS/GOTS and custom toolsets to address vulnerabilities and/or implement security controls.

Applies a combination of expert engineering knowledge of enterprise IT and security solutions to design, develop and/or implement solutions to ensure they are consistent with enterprise architecture, federal regulations, security frameworks, and customer security standards and policies to support cyber operations in state government.

Designs, tests, and implements secure operating systems, networks, conducts security monitoring, tuning and management of IT security systems and applications, incident response, digital forensics, loss prevention, and eDiscovery actions.

Validates security control design and solutions for technology planning at the system, mission, and enterprise level, security-in-depth/defense-in-depth, and other related IAM/ISSO/ISSE support functions.

This Role is involved in a wide range of IT security implementations; including cloud architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access. Successful candidates are adept at research when evaluating cyber capabilities and new security tools and products against operational requirements. Introduces services to the enterprise in alignment with IT security strategy. Supports the offensive and defensive capability for the overall health of the enterprise security posture.

This role will design, troubleshoot, and problem solve technical and non-technical issues.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's and 2+ years of experience. May accept an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Real world experience and working knowledge of Commonwealth of Virginia (COV) SEC standards, NIST RMF, performing assessments for compliance with NIST 800-53 controls, and CIS benchmarks for SSP and Baseline support.
  • Hands on Cybersecurity experience
  • Experience working with NIST frameworks, NIST RMF, NIST 800-53
