Senior Agile Practices Lead

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for an experienced Senior Agile Practices Lead to be at the forefront of the Stitch Fix’s transformation journey. In this role, you will bring the passion needed to help cross-functional teams realize their full potential. You will serve as a role model and leader for Stitch Fix by working directly with teams to deliver their solutions and improve their practices.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and mentor for individuals, teams, teams of teams, and aligned leadership on lean & agile values, principles and techniques for improving how they work together effectively.
  • Encourage system level transparency to identify and reduce/eliminate organizational impediments which limit team and system level agility; provide recommendations to address roadblocks and areas of opportunity.
  • Champion and support people's willingness to experiment, inspect, and adapt to discover new ways of working more effectively together by fostering a continuous learning environment for agile practices.
  • Actively listen and seek to understand without attempting to own the problems of the person or team you're working with.
  • Gauge team/team of team's performance, identify improvements, and recommend capabilities needed to accelerate teams' path of agility.
  • Knowledgeable in different agile frameworks and methods and can articulate their usage with practical experience, but also see them for what they are - tools and techniques to enable you to foster capability in an organization.
  • Influence by building positive relationships, helping people connect specific practices to capabilities and outcomes, get support for incremental change and help communicate results and effect of change effort.
  • Participate in or lead complex problem-solving activities to define problems, assess current state root causes, design and test solutions, and implement solutions leading to desired outcomes.
  • Provide feedback to management at all levels regarding the progress of agile capabilities/competencies within their team's organization/domain

WE'RE EXCITED ABOUT YOU BECAUSE YOU…

  • Have 7 - 10 years experience as Agile Coach or Agile Practices Lead in a technology-driven environment.
  • Have advanced knowledge of and practical experience with agile methods and frameworks as typically acquired and years of experience in coaching, mentoring, teaching, and facilitating multiple teams.
  • Have previous experience as a scrum master or product owner preferred. Knowledge of relevant domains/ products/ journeys preferred.
  • At least one advanced coaching training/certification or equivalent knowledge/experience from a reputable Lean/agile organization (ICAgile Professional – Agile Team Facilitation (ICP-ATF), ICAgile Professional – Agile Coaching (ICP-ACC) preferred.
  • Training/certification or equivalent knowledge/experience in one or more scaled models (for ex: SAFe SPC, Scrum@Scale™ Practitioner, etc.) preferred.
  • Solid repertoire of coaching and facilitation techniques. Strong communication skills with ability to process and explain complex technical concepts and align organization on decisions. Utilizes team collaboration to create innovative solutions efficiently.
  • You are resilient working on trying different approaches and new paths even when met with resistance.
  • Can identify when individuals do not have shared understanding, and promote inclusion and equity to ensure all perspectives/voices are heard and factored into change decisions.
