The Collections/Recovery Attorney will manage and oversee all aspects of judgement recovery and collections for United Gaming L.L.C.. It is anticipated that this role will report to the company’s Senior Litigation Counsel. This role involves confirming and collecting on arbitration awards and judgments, negotiating settlements, and ensuring compliance with all state and federal collection laws. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in collections or creditors’ rights law, with strong litigation, negotiation, and communication skills.

The Collections/Recovery Attorney will manage and oversee all aspects of judgement recovery and collections for United Gaming L.L.C.. It is anticipated that this role will report to the company’s Senior Litigation Counsel. This role involves confirming and collecting on arbitration awards and judgments, negotiating settlements, and ensuring compliance with all state and federal collection laws. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in collections or creditors’ rights law, with strong litigation, negotiation, and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage the company’s portfolio of default judgments and develop strategies for efficient debt recovery.
- Draft, review, and file legal documents related to collections and recovery actions.
- Represent the company in court proceedings, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations.
- Enforce judgments through garnishments, levies, liens, or other post-judgment remedies.
- Collaborate with the finance and operations teams to create and improve policies to increase likelihood of recovery (both prior to entry into contracts and following the issuance of arbitration awards).
- Work directly with current legal team (including in-house litigation counsel, general counsel, and paralegal).
- Maintain detailed records of collection activities, communications, and case progress.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Georgia.
- 3–5 years of experience in collections, recovery, or creditors’ rights litigation.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state collection laws and regulations.
- Proven experience managing a high-volume caseload with attention to detail.
- Excellent written, verbal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity.
