About the role

Travel: 75% Remote: 25%


The QC Specialist works in cross-functional collaboration with the project execution team and helps maintain an empowered, proactive safety culture at an Aegis jobsite. This role performs audits of conveyors and automated sortation to ensure proper installation, preparedness for commissioning, and a smooth, timely go-live. The QC Specialist ensures that Aegis and its subcontractors execute the project to meet the defined quality control and quality assurance standards and requirements.


What you'll do

  • Conduct mechanical and electrical installation audits, in-process checks, and pre-commissioning inspections per published standards and customer specifications (Daily)
  • Create and maintain detailed digital documentation for all audits (Daily)
  • Communicate nonconformances and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues (Daily)
  • Ensure inspections are scheduled and completed in alignment with project timelines (Weekly)
  • Maintain visibility on required audits throughout the lifecycle of assigned projects (Monthly)
  • Perform root cause analysis and generate nonconformance reports (As needed)
  • Lead CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) planning and execution for recurring issues and KPI trends (As needed)
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to junior QC team members (As needed)
  • Drive continuous improvement of Aegis QC planning and execution processes

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of construction experience
  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred)
  • Experience in conveyors and material handling systems (required)
  • OSHA 30 certification (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of CEMA, ANSI, NFPA, and NEC standards
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with M365 office tools and Autodesk Construction Cloud (preferred).
  • Background in conveyor or material handling installation projects (preferred)
