Why This Role Matters
As a Continuous Improvement Specialist (Goodyear Production System), you will support the implementation and long-term sustainability of the Goodyear Production System (GPS) — our structured approach to continuous improvement and operational excellence. Working closely with teams across the plant, you will help build a culture of collaboration, learning, and shared ownership, focusing on process discipline, transparency, and quality to strengthen performance across manufacturing operations.
In this role, you will guide daily GPS activities, encourage engagement at all levels, and act as a supportive Change Agent who helps teams solve problems with confidence. You will coach managers and pillar leaders, coordinate trainings, and conduct audits to ensure that GPS practices are followed consistently. Your contributions will help the plant improve key performance indicators and move steadily toward its long-term goals.
What You’ll Do
- Support and guide managers and pillar leaders in applying GPS methodology and nurturing sustainable results.
- Conduct Self-Audits and assist in the daily management routines that strengthen process discipline.
- Monitor progress of GPS pillar activities, helping teams stay aligned with master plans and adjust when needed.
- Share lessons learned, celebrate team achievements, and encourage a caring, collaborative improvement culture.
- Facilitate trainings and help build GPS capabilities across the plant.
- Promote openness, teamwork, and continuous learning in line with the “One Goodyear Way.”
What You’ll Bring
- At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and a genuine interest in continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with problem-solving tools and hands-on experience supporting improvement initiatives.
- Understanding of TPM, Lean Manufacturing, or other continuous improvement systems.
- Experience as a Pillar Leader or Coordinator in TPM / CI initiatives is a plus.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and collaborative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple priorities with care, clarity, and effective time management.
- Proficiency in tools and methodologies used in CI, plus good command of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Confident communication skills in English and local language(s), with an open and supportive approach.
