OpenInvest is seeking a Senior Content Editor reporting to the Head of Marketing. In this role, you will manage the content generation team (both full time and consultants) and uphold the OpenInvest brand throughout a range of marketing content and copy in line with broader departmental and company goals. The right candidate will be consistent in copyediting and streamline the content production process, as well as being an organized, deliberate, and thoughtful manager. You will find success if you are driven by helping people grow, have a deep understanding of how to consistently uphold a brand voice, and have experience editing content across a variety of marketing channels.
What You'll Do

• • Manage the content team, helping writers grow and succeed at J.P. Morgan
  • Own the content marketing vertical and team management including (but not limited to) delegating, training, and hiring
  • Demonstrate journalistic speed and precision to execute a high volume of content across digital, email, and social
  • Partner with key stakeholders to understand and execute strategic editorial vision for assigned projects
  • Help take content through multi-step governance processes, including compliance review, stakeholder approvals, and any necessary revisions
  • Drive consistency across channels, leveraging voice, tone, and content standards
  • Establish editorial guidelines to determine content formats, and best practices for content production and project prioritization
  • Leverage digital fluency to ensure content is optimized for search and engagement and offers a positive user experience
  • Participate in conversations around voice, tone, and content strategy, backed by a solid understanding of business and product goals

Who You Are

• • 7+ years of copywriting and copyediting experience
  • 2+ years of people management experience
  • Experience leading and developing a team of copywriters
  • Experience working in FinTech, wealth management, or financial services
  • Copyediting experience adhering to documented standards including brand guidelines, style, voice, and tone
  • Experience working with a variety of stakeholders and working cross-functionally
  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage schedules and deadlines for multiple projects
  • SEO or digital marketing experience
