Training Content Developer

Alteryx is seeking an experienced Training Content Developer to create engaging instructor-led training (ILT) content for Alteryx customers. Your ability to learn new products quickly and creatively translate your knowledge into real-world learning scenarios will be key to your success. You will have the opportunity to contribute fresh ideas and play a crucial role in the expansion of the rapidly growing Customer Enablement Team.

What you will do:

  • Design and develop ILT / vILT content focused on Alteryx products and advanced analytics
  • Drive the end-to-end content design, development, and maintenance process:
    • Establish and manage relationships with SMEs and stakeholders
    • Conduct needs assessments and create learning and testing objectives
    • Develop presentation materials (slides), hands-on lab exercises, practical application use cases, instructor guides, quizzes, learning activities, and job aids.
    • Lead technical review sessions
    • Conduct pilot testing and collaborate with instructors to revise content
    • Maintain training materials for various delivery channels
    • Monitor and report on training effectiveness, customer satisfaction, and business outcomes
  • Collaborate with product management, engineering, professional services, and partner teams to develop content roadmap

Required Skills: 

  • 4+ years of experience developing technical ILT / vILT content
  • Ability to apply adult learning principles and incorporate them into curriculum design and development
  • Strong written communication or technical writing skills (be prepared to provide a writing sample)
  • Experience working with SMEs and facilitating course design workshops
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects from strategy to execution
  • Experience with data analytics and the Alteryx platform or the dedication and desire to learn the platform

Valued Skills: 

  • Bonus points for any of the following: Alteryx Designer Core certification, experience with data analysis, analytics automation, or Alteryx Server, experience with conducting technical training
  • Experience working with an Authorized Training Partner program

Compensation: 

Alteryx is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This position is remote-friendly and, as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled.Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including bonus and stock grants.
