ESI is looking for a skilled Technical Writer with experience in conceptualizing, editing and producing technical documentation. This includes owning the complete development cycle for user manuals, installation guides and other technical documents as needed. This position works closely with engineering, chemistry and software development groups to solicit complex technical material and turn it into effective easy to follow documentation.

• Create end user materials in multiple formats (user guides, installation manuals, interactive, video and potentially online help) • Identify and promote new technologies, tools, and documentation formats to incorporate into existing product literature deliverables; develop proof of concepts for group evaluation and approval • Actively participate in engineering product development • Gather technical material including specifications, technical drawings, product features, and advisories for inclusion in respective documents • Demonstrate excellent grammar, spelling, punctuation, and language usage skills • Ensure quality standards and consistency in order, language, visuals, terminology, and format • Manage multiple projects, deadlines and approvals simultaneously • Stay up to date with the latest ESI products and technologies • Translate technical information into clear, concise, and effective documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences. Assist in defining standards, style, and terminology • Assists in database maintenance and proofreading • Works closely with technical personnel to ensure accuracy of specifications, product assembly steps, and operating procedures

• 3-5 years of experience in a technical writing-related environment • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, Microsoft Windows Operating system and Microsoft Office • Skilled writer with the ability to think strategically and has an exceptional understanding of hardware and software manual creation • Excellent oral, written, analytic, and organizational skills • Ability to learn technical details of ESI's various product lines • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task • Highly-motivated self-starter • Ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines • Ability to adapt to changing project parameters and diverse project assignments • Familiarity with analytical chemistry is a plus
