Would you like to join a team focused on producing high-quality technical documents for Equifax external customers and internal employees? As an Equifax Technical Writer, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team to produce technical documentation across the organization. You will work with design/branding teams, development teams and training teams to create standard documentation.

You will work with cutting edge tools to create written or visual product/process documentation, technical documentation and illustrations, user manuals, and/or training and demo materials. You are motivated by collaborating with multiple resources across a broad technical and business portfolio to create content. You thrive on using a modern approach to your technical writing: Collaborative tools, real-time crowdsourcing, topic reuse, automated publication and continuous delivery. You are the ideal candidate if you have excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver high-quality technical publications.

What You'll Do
  • Work as a technical writer for complex technical or business software applications
  • Work with various internal teams including Functional Managers, Technical Staff, Training and Product SME's to create and process easy to understand business and technical artifacts that will be utilized internally and externally
  • Create consistent documentation for customers, implementation teams, and internal employees
  • Establish tools, templates, and methods to produce effective documentation deliverables
  • Coordinate with design and branding teams to ensure compliance with content, format, and brand standards
  • Facilitate reviews with subject matter experts to obtain their input and then use the input to create quality, functional documents
  • Apply sign-off process with SME's and Leads when gathering information
  • Ensure that all publications are authored in accordance with Equifax and industry best practices
  • Aid in organizing and maintaining a documentation repository
  • Apply version control standards in order to track and maintain historical modifications

What experience you need
  • BS or MS degree in English, Technical Writing or equivalent job experience
  • 3-5 years of experience producing effective user documentation based on audience analysis
  • 3-5 years of experience using technical documentation tools, processes, and advanced delivery methods
  • Experience with conforming writing style, content, and formatting using proprietary style guides
  • 3 -5 years' experience creating and interpreting work flow diagrams that represent business processes as well as network environments.
