Technical Writer

As part of the Inteliquet Product Management Team, the Technical Writer will be responsible for planning, developing, organizing, writing, and editing technical and end-user documentation for customers and internal staff for Inteliquet suite of products.

Essential Functions
  • Produce and design written documentation and online user help for Inteliquet line of products.
  • Acquire and organize source material, including applicable specifications and technical write-ups required by the agile development process.
  • Analyzes documents to maintain continuity of style of content.
  • Manages updates and revisions to technical documentation.
  • Attends regular Engineering meetings to understand upcoming enhancements/changes for documentation.
  • Working closely with product managers, developers, and subject matter experts.
  • Has experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and agile software development.
  • Can research all available resources to ensure accuracy of content developed.
  • Can interpret story documents for writing and updating product documentation.
  • Can interview subject matter experts and experiment with software to obtain technical and product knowledge for a project.
  • Can experiment with the product at all phases of development.
  • Can participate in Agile/cross-functional teams with members from other disciplines.
  • Establish, communicate, and maintain documentation standards with a focus on a consistent look and feel.
  • Develop and execute a process for documentations maintenance that corresponds to our product release schedule.
  • Maintain an understanding of applications and levels of user proficiency.

Required Skills And Experience
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2+ years of experience in technical writing.
  • Knowledge of technical writing and writing end-user documentation.
  • Proven ability to write in explanatory, procedural and creative styles for multiple audiences.
  • Expertise with software documentation tools.
  • Knowledge of information gathering, planning, and document control techniques
  • Analytical skills to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and decompose high-level information into details.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal direct supervision.
  • Excellent time management, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and handle shifting priorities professionally.
  • Ability to grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable quickly.
  • Can develop relationships with learning/support stakeholders, functional team members, and agile team members.
