Location: This is a Remote Role in the United States.
Your Impact
As a Technical Writer within Sales Engineering, you will be responsible for providing analysis of customer requirements and developing technical responses to meet their business needs. You will work directly with the sales, engineering, and professional services organizations to understand and provide technical leadership for qualifying and deploying Axon software solutions in law enforcement agencies across the country. You will lead the technical responses for sales requests including standardizing and streamlining our proposal content and crafting statements of work.
Your Day to Day

  • Provide technical support and documentation for customers and the professional services organization.
  • Analyze incoming RFPs and provide strategic, and accurate technical responses that reflect Axon's capabilities.
  • Where possible, improve or develop technical documentation to ease understanding of our products and services.
  • Participate in customer discovery sessions to scope integration requirements and propose solutions to meet those requirements.
  • Ensure a robust and feasible implementation plan is presented to potential customers.
  • Analyze IT system architectures for the purposes of scoping technical projects and recommending system improvements.

Basic Qualifications

  • Demonstrated analytical skills through understanding and defining complex subject material.
  • Effective communication with both technical and non-technical people, including clients and vendors.
  • Rigorous attention to detail and excellent technical writing skills.
  • Experience analyzing and developing technical systems and solutions.
  • Able to effectively manage multiple projects, priorities, and tasks within a dynamic environment.
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in public safety industry.
  • Experience with Records Management Systems (RMS) and/or Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD)
  • Experience responding to high value RFPs
  • Experience developing Statements of Work (SOWs)
  • Experience working and influencing multiple stakeholders within a cross-functional, geo-dispersed team
