The Technical Writer will be responsible for creating and maintaining detailed content in our customer-facing help center and potentially other customer-facing collateral. As part of the Product team, this individual will work closely with the engineering and customer success organization to ensure that any new features or updates to existing features for each new software release are documented in a timely manner. In addition, the lead technical writer will assisting in writing Go To Market documentation required for long-term company initiatives.

Job Duties:

  • Create, modify, and organize content in CloudCheckr's online help center.
  • Work with developers, QA analysts, Sales, Support team members to better understand how software changes or enhancements will impact CloudCheckr customers and improve documentation based on these conversations.
  • Review existing documentation tickets and prioritize according to customer needs and other requirements.
  • Write user guides for Go To Market initiatives that sales and support can leverage when working with customers.
  • Ensure that all documentation follows internal style guide standards.
  • Review any changes to industry best practices and ensure CloudCheckr documentation remains at the forefront of new standards.
  • Evaluate and recommend new software solutions for enabling timely, consistent, and beautiful documentation collateral for end users.
  • Create and maintain information architecture that provides our customers with a straightforward navigation to find the answers they need quickly.

  • Experience working in agile software development environment
  • 4+ years of experience writing and organizing technical material into user-friendly content
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build strong relationships
  • Highly motivated, collaborative, and possessing an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexible, agile and open-minded with a positive attitude
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and adhere to deadlines
  • Ability to work well under moderate supervision
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to embrace changing priorities and work in a fast-paced development environment
  • Commitment to helping the company maintain high customer expectations through excellent written documentation
