ASRC Federal Communications is seeking aTechnical Writerto join our team. This contract effort is to provide the High Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP) with integrated technical services.

The ideal candidate will have familiarity and some experience in Information Technology with Department of Defense (DoD) documentation processes.

This position shall:

• Work with developers/engineering leads to help determine requirements for releases and support solutions and prepare documentation.
• Help create system workflows, engineering diagrams, SOPs, requirement documents and implementation plans.
• Evaluate and analyze information, then develop documentation that meets organizational standards and requirements.
• Develop and maintain detailed and comprehensive database of appropriate reference materials and contract deliverables.
• Gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and write procedures, user manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation.
• Support the creation and collection of artifacts in support of the Risk Management Framework Assessment and Authorization process.
• Assist in the gathering, analysis, organization, storage and sharing of information in support of Knowledge Management, Quality Assurance, and Training.
• Support the Program Manager and Alternate Program Manager with additional tasks in support of the greater program.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Associate's Degree in Computer Science, English, or related field preferred, but will consider all majors with relevant experience.
• Three to five plus years of technical writing and business analyst experience.
• Previous experience producing technical documentation and procedural material using digital media.
• Experience working with engineering to improve user experience: design, user interface, and refinement of content including visuals and diagrams for technical support content.
• Jira experience, a plus
• Minimum Active Secret required
• The position is at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD, though there will be some level of teleworking allowed.
• Ability to travel to Alexandria, VA as needed to support programmatic efforts and support stakeholder meetings, as needed
