Strategic Communications Writer
The Challenge:

As a communications professional, you know how to inform and engage key audiences and help promote an organization's desired reputation. We're looking for an experienced communications specialist like you, who is ready to grow and willing to win for the client and live our mission every day. Here, you'll advance your consulting skills to design, develop, produce, and consult on a variety of internal and external communication materials and media that supports our Strategic Communications Workstream at Walter Reed Bethesda with lots of opportunity for growth, development with StratComm skills, and client experience. This in support of a Department of Defense organization working to advance the clinical care, diagnosis, research and education of military service members with traumatic brain injuries (TBI) and psychological health conditions.

You Have:

• 3+ years of experience with strategic communication writing
• Experience in working with large diverse teams
• Experience working directly with senior leader level civilian and military clients
• Ability to apply innovation and creativity to the development of various communications products
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Ability to obtain a security clearance
• Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience in journalism, writing articles for publication to internal and external audiences
• Experience using InDesign software and an understanding of graphic design concepts to collaborate with graphic design team
• Experience in developing logical, engaging presentations in PPT format
