OVERVIEW
Every year, people across the world spend nearly one trillion dollars on groceries. It’s an industry that’s been around for centuries. Food itself, however, has been a constant in people’s lives since the beginning of time. Yes, sustenance is essential, but it’s also much more than that. Food can be a part of a daily ritual or a special moment that resonates with people on a meaningful and emotional level. It can be a much-needed break in a long day, a taste that brings back memories, a creative experiment, a shared meal with loved ones, or even comfort during a hard time. Whether it’s a special occasion or an everyday occurrence, it should always be easy for people to get the ingredients they need.
The Instacart Design Team is dedicated to making grocery shopping effortless for everyone and finding solutions to large-scale challenges that will forever change the way people feed themselves and their loved ones.
ABOUT THE JOB
Instacart is on the lookout for a stellar creative copywriter who lives/breathes/impacts social media. This person is an expert at content creation and social media (think responsive tweets to creating content on the fly). Someone who knows what works and what doesn’t. A cross-functional champion. Someone who can insert Instacart into the cultural conversation.
This person will develop and drive social content from the ground up, identifying trends or creating them from scratch. This person should be fully plugged into culture and have a strong understanding of what moves the needle across all things social to drive storytelling moments through the lens of the brand. This role requires a highly strategic person who will heavily drive how the brand interacts, communicates with, and grows the organic social audience and culture at large.
Responsibilities
- Ability to move at the speed of culture
- Own the brand story for our clients across all social platforms maintaining a consistent voice and vision.
- Collaborate with agency team members from creative, production, PR, strategy, planning and analytics to produce smart, powerful work.
- Proofread written work and online content.
- Proactively communicate and provide platform insights across to help strategically steer and enhance new content opportunities as needed
- Juggle multiple assignments and work in an agile environment.
- Manage time and establish priorities while maintaining flexibility to respond to changing demands.
- Stay on top of trends through business/industry monitoring and outside resources.
ABOUT YOU
- Proven track record of impacting culture through the lens of social (show us, don’t tell us)
- Ability to concept at a high level while also obsessing over the little details
- Experience pitching unconventional and provocative ideas to a conservative audience
- Deep knowledge of content platforms, including Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok.
- Impeccable communication skills including summarizing creative concepts, distilling large amounts of data, and building clear visual presentations
- Strong organizational skills, and ability to multi- task across various projects
- Familiarity with cultural leaders in music, fashion, and entertainment (and the associated subcultures)
- Ability to create on-the-ground social content as needed
- Flexible and adaptable in the ever-changing digital landscape
- Experience overseeing high-volume daily programming across multiple platforms
