Senior Social Content Creator
In this newly created Senior Social Content Creator role, you’ll be the primary creator and editor responsible for making organic social content for Whole Food Market. Reporting to the Principal Social Media Marketer, you will sit within the organic social team, collaborate closely with others on the team and bring an open mind toward collaboration with in-house creative counterparts. Your creative nature, production abilities and passion for social media will be critical to accelerating the relevance and effectiveness of Whole Food Market’s social media presence.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to regular ideation that yields differentiated, engaging and ever-fresh executions based on channel strategy, brand priorities, and insights
Partner closely with the Principal Social Media Marketer, Senior Social Media Marketer and Social Media Marketer on translating the strategy and performance learnings into a content approach that resonates with our community and ambitiously progresses the brand's presence in the channel
Create social-first content in support of marketing, evergreen and real-time workstreams with needs ranging from product to lifestyle
Collaborate with producer on pre-production, shooting and editing of original still and video assets in store, on set or in studio
Simultaneously manage multiple workstreams at various stages while meeting delivery dates
Establish production operations within the organic social team, including process, equipment, software and asset management
Nurture a working relationship and identify production synergies with our in-house creative team responsible for defining brand and executing in other channels
Uphold Whole Foods Market’s brand standards and achieve consistency in all social content
Steward refinement of Whole Foods Market’s social creative guidelines
Present an inspired, forward-thinking and distinct social perspective on the brand’s content and its integration with cross-channel campaigns
Spearhead content innovation with a thirst for experimentation paired with sound judgement and a desire to be data driven
Skills:
Conceptual thinking and ideating
Elevated, organic style of art direction and photography, including styling and capturing food
Proficiency in video production and editing, including native and emerging social formats
Social storytelling and copywriting
Expert, active understanding of social media content and trends (including organic specs, best practices, formats and editing styles)
Excellent project management and organization
Professional-level competency using Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrated, After Effects), Premiere or Final Cut Pro and native editing tools
Exemplary work ethic and strong ownership of responsibilities
Independently and proactively manage a high-volume workload with a positive, resourceful attitude
Passionate about Whole Foods Market’s brand and eager to be a steward of its reputation
Graphic design and animation skills are a plus
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
4+ years creating original social content, ideally in-house at another brand and with a lean production operation
Comfortable shaping and steering ideas from concept to execution, including pre-production work like storyboarding, prop selection and product planning
Track record of creating high-quality social content that generates results. Portfolio of recent work and results is required
