About the Role


Reporting into the VP Brand, you’ll work alongside an art director/designers, and freelance content creation partners. You’ll interface cross functionally with not just marketing, but product, legal, regulatory, member care and more . You have a mastery of brand voice, eloquently bridging narrative-driven storytelling, and benefits-driven calls to action. You collaborate easily with design partners to generate compelling campaigns that deliver results.

What You'll Do

  • Write and proofread a range of brand-led copy (social and ad creative, branded emails, landing page, blog, video scripts), as well as product-focused execution (Quick reference guides, FAQs, transactional emails, user experience messaging, other member education efforts)
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure holistic messaging alignment across the business and steady publishing cadence yearlong.
  • Write engaging content in the Sidecar Health tone of voice that demonstrates an understanding of our audience and what they need to know when it comes to care
  • Shepherd editorial through an approval process that includes multiple stakeholders, working hand-in-hand
  • Ability to collapse content to have saliency across social and owned brand channels, with fluency in publishing and online discovery tools aimed to drive consumption and share-ability
  • Leverage holistic understanding of Sidecar Health market position and range of products
  • Shape the future state of Sidecar Health as a leading content brand
  • Maintain and iterate tone of voice guidelines, copy styles, brand writing checklist and messaging themes

What You'll Bring 

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • You have 5+ years experience in content creation across multiple formats, including how-to content, video scripts, articles, web/digital marketing copy and long-form pieces like features, guides and blogs
  • You have exceptional editorial skills. Can craft and evolve narratives in different content formats, guide contributors, and keep work streams flowing
  • You have experience in user-focused writing, technical writing and product-focused including work in health care
  • You can concept how one idea can translate across multiple channels and formats
  • You are comfortable wearing many hats, working in an entrepreneurial environment and building toolkits while executing
  • You welcome feedback, can easily revise content based on stakeholder feedback, are accustomed to speed, and motivated by a fast paced and high performing team
  • You possess a journalistic eye and process to evaluate what makes a story a story
  • Proven ability to communicate and collaborate cross-functionally
  • Excellent organizational, presentation, and communication skills
  • Extreme attention to detail and grammar
  • Bachelors in English, Communications or Journalism; or the equivalent
