Product Copywriter & Editor
JOB OVERVIEW:
The Cardinal Health Pharma eCommerce team is looking for an experienced Product Copywriter who will create highly engaging and strategic content to drive value to our customers. You will create product-adoption specific content while maintaining a style of voice that resonates with our audience. This is a highly cross functional role that works with product management and marketing to create product flows that lead to conversions. A successful candidate will be able to see every product as a story and will be able to identify a story line in a sequence of product pages. The goal is to develop communication style and wording that drives conversion, product adoption and retention.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional organization and communication skills. They must be able to respond quickly, but with carefully thought-out product content and strategies. This individual will report to the Content Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and execute content briefs that capture key messages, requirements, and other criteria to create deliverables that align with content goals and business objectives.
• Help shape brand standards and editorial guidelines, and ensure deliverables consistently conform to those guidelines.
• Discover and formulate our product voice that corresponds with what works best with our customers.
• Develop a communication style that is perceived as Clean, Clear and Creative by our customers.
• Define a content strategy and create product storylines
• Own product copy that follows our voice definition and content strategy.
• Review and execute new features, product releases and changes from communication perspective.
• Work cross-functionally with product and marketing teams to develop a communication style that drives conversion, product adoption and retention.
• Utilize time management skills to enable you to work on multiple deliverables at the same time.
SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field
• 5+ years as a copywriter and editing with experience defining content strategy in collaborative, deadline-oriented environment
• Experience in healthcare or pharmaceuticals a plus
• Experience working in a content management system a plus
• Must be a creative and strategic thinker
• Excellent communication skills
• Comfortable presenting concepts and creative work in team meetings
• Broad portfolio of product content samples, preferably targeting both B2B and B2c audiences
• The ability to juggle multiple projects effectively
- A Covid-19 vaccination is required in order to be employed in this position. This includes either:
