Summary: 

The Lead Technical Writer - Knowledge Base/Saas at Helium 10 reports to the Director of Customer Support.  A small team of Technical Writers report to the Technical Writing Lead.

The Lead Technical Writer is responsible for:

  • Working with the Director of Customer Support to develop a smart content strategy that helps get Helium 10 Customers the information they need when and where they need it.
  • Efficiently create and maintain technical product documentation for assigned Product groups
  • Deeply understanding the user experience of e-commerce sellers and the tooling solutions offered by Helium 10. 
  • Ensuring that Technical Writers on your team effectively prioritize high-priority feature release work with other content, experience, and process improvements.
  • Helping Technical Writers on your team refine their writing skills by spot-checking content and providing editorial feedback.
  • Modeling collaboration and effective cross-functional communication.

Requirements:

  • 5+ year of technical writing experience
  • Certificate in Technical Writing or Technical Communication
  • Experience:
    • Making challenging, complex ideas, concepts, and tasks understandable and appealing to diverse audiences, from end-users to developers.
    • DITA/structured writing
    • Designing and maintaining a user-facing knowledge base
