Junior Technical Writer
Due to Covid–19 we are working 100% remotely, this includes the hiring process. When it is safe to do so, we will return to a hybrid of onsite and remote work for some positions.
Why This Role Is Important To Arcadia
As part of the Technical Writing Department, the Junior Technical Writer works collaboratively with subject matter experts within our Product and Engineering teams to document new features and functionality changes, helping both customers and Arcadia employees understand the value we continuously deliver with each release.
What Success Looks Like
In 3 months
- Learn about our products and build relationships with our Product managers and engineers
- Write release notes and update user manuals, ensuring that our customers understand new product features and changes
In 6 months
- Work with the technical writing team to improve processes and assess existing procedures
- Collaborate with the technical writing team to suggest new content to better support our customers
- Help audit and assess existing user manuals to determine what updates need to be made
In 12 months
- Be a key member of the technical writing team by providing our users with informative documentation that ensures customer success
What You'll Be Doing
- Work directly with Engineering, SMEs and Product Management to deliver documentation that ensures customer success
- Produce documentation with unified examples, consistent style, and quality
- Write user guides, workflows, release notes, best practices, and FAQs
- Respond to internal and external feedback to update documentation
What You'll Bring
- 1-3 years of experience writing technical documentation
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables over tight timelines
- Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's Degree in English, Technical Writing, Computer Science, Learning Technology, or related field
Would Love For You To Have
- Experience working with Engineers, Product Managers, or Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
- Background in healthcare, business intelligence or other technology-related field
- Understanding of help authoring tools, content management systems, publishing tools and associated technologies and standards

This position is responsible for following all Security policies and procedures in order to protect all PHI under Arcadia's custodianship as well as Arcadia Intellectual Properties. For any security-specific roles, the responsibilities would be further defined by the hiring manager.
