Jr. Technical Content Creator - Docs as Code

We're currently seeking a full-time Jr. Technical Content Creator in our Columbia, MD office. In this position, you will create software product documentation using a docs-as-code methodology as well as other duties communicating technical product information for a variety of audiences.
Your day-to-day at Vulnerability Research Labs:
- Plan and create software documentation utilizing a "Docs as Code" workflow
- Install and run products and give feedback to developers
- Automate and discover new ways to streamline the documentation process
- Work closely with highly technical staff to solve complex and interesting problems
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to a full suite of documentation products (User Guides, Release Notes, Proposals, Presentations) for a variety of custom computer security software products
- Give immediate feedback to software developers and work with them to improve the product
- Generate documents using "Docs as Code" workflows (reST/Sphinx/GIT/Docker instead of traditional Microsoft Word interactions)
- Version controlling documents as the product and documents are modified over time
- Test Drive products for the intent of expanding and completing documentation
- Improve internal documentation processes and environment (new technologies, formats, etc.)
- Edit and review work of peers such as fellow tech writers and software developers
- Work under tight deadlines with minimal supervision
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Technical Communication, Professional Writing, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Familiarity with cyber security concepts, software development lifecycle and software documentation standards and concepts
- Experience with the following:
- Sphinx
- reStructuredText (reST)
- Command line
- Docker
- Python
- Version Control (i.e. GIT)
- Graphic creation using a variety of graphics tools of your preference
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Extreme attention to detail
- Professional attitude, and possess excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- This position may require being fully vaccinated against COVID
