Job Description
The IAM Technical Writer is a critical member of the NBCU Cyber Security IAM Operations team responsible for being the face to our customers and providing excellent world class customer support. The Technical Writer interfaces with all our service team within Identity and Access Management. This position reports to the Manager for IAM Service Operations within the Cyber Security organization.
Responsibilities
The Technical Writer position participates on the Identity & Access Management Operations team, you will be responsible for performing the following duties:
- Work collaboratively across NBCU Cyber I&AM to help drive operations forward
- Responsible for developing and delivering accurate and timely documentation
- Works with design teams to scope out and plan for the documentation requirements for new projects
- Works with the product, engineers, and QA in an Agile team to retrieve, organize, analyze and synthesize complex subject matter and transform it into easy-to-understand information for specific audiences
- Work with Support team to ensure all support documentation is clearly outlined and finalized for SOPs and KB Articles
- Research, develop and document technical design specifications
- Maintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation
- Analyze documents to maintain continuity of style of content
- Manage updates and revisions to technical literature
- Contributes to the development and achievement of organizational goals and objectives
- Works with other team members to understand the publishing requirements.
- Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications
- Assist in building references and look ups for management of vulnerabilities in core systems
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree, first degree, or equivalent experience in Technical, Communications, Technical Writing highly desirable
- Experience producing documentation for APIs • Experience producing documentation for SOPs and KB Articles •
- Experience producing documentation for User Requirements •
- Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
- 2 Years Experience producing documentation for APIs '
- Familiarity and experience with Identity Systems a plus
- Familiarity with and experience working in an Agile environment
- Familiarity with and experience building and maintaining user personas 2-4 years' experience
