Overview:

This is a REMOTE position.

The Grant Development Manager is responsible for conducting all activities required to prepare, submit and manage grant proposals to foundation, corporate and government sources to support Mercy programs. This includes researching, compiling, writing and editing grant applications, as well as developing relationships with funders and internal stakeholders to further grant efforts across the Mercy ministry. This position will work closely with internal project managers to monitor funding expenditures and outcome reporting and act as liaison with program staff and funding agencies. The Grant Development Manager performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • Minimum three years' experience with grant writing and demonstrated track record in writing persuasive, clear and concise proposals.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Effective project management skills.
  • High level of resourcefulness and self-management.
  • Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
  • Able to plan, prioritize, shift priorities if necessary, and coordinate multiple projects to meet deadlines.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Energetic and flexible.
  • Good follow-through.
