WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for a content and editorial specialist to support our company-wide, narrative-led content creation and publishing strategy. This role will play a key part in engaging, informing and inspiring NIKE, Inc. employees around the world!

Our ideal candidate is an excellent writer who can get just as excited coming up with a bold new creative concept as they can penning a clear and concise company-wide email that gets important information out to our teammates. They are the person everyone wants on their team because they're collaborative, dedicated and eager to jump in where help is needed. They love to learn and relish any chance to work on something new. Their work rarely needs copyediting, but when it does, they embrace the feedback. They are detail-oriented and adaptable. They love tracking down facts, distilling complex information and strategizing ways to convey news to their audiences. They are passionate about sport and eager to learn surrounded by a team of communications professionals, writers, content producers and creatives.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
If this is you, you will be an important part of our Global Employee Narrative and Experiences team within the Enterprise Communications function.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Create, write and support content across a wide variety of platforms including our company intranet, internal social platform, email, meetings, audio/visual, and more
  • Draft and publish global leader messages, frequently-asked-questions documents and other messaging that conveys important and timely information to employees
  • Ensure key company information is available, up to date and accurate for employees
  • Offer solutions for managing updates and content across the enterprise's communications teams to ensure consistent and accurate information distribution to employees
  • Based on cross-functional editorial management, be able to spot consistencies across content from teams and find creative solutions for how to work together to amplify
  • Pitch and deliver new and innovative story ideas and formats to help shape the future of communications at Nike and drive employee engagement
  • Partner with functional and geography comms partners to curate, elevate and publish local content on our global employee channels
  • Create style guides and editorial guidelines that amplify and deliver on our global editorial plan
  • Oversee vendors and support content creation end-to-end; create and lead workback schedules, timelines and budgets
  • Apply strong copyediting skills to ensure our communications are clear and consistent
  • Use insights and metrics to create reports that guide our content strategy and inform best practices
  • Be able to travel 10-15%

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
As part of the Global Employee Narrative and Experiences team you will work closely with teammates focused on content production, platforms, design and employee experiences, and partner with various communications teams across the company, such as Enterprise Communications, Corporate Narrative, Consumer Creation and geo communications teams. Your manager will be the Global Content and Editorial Director, Employee Communications. Your network will extend beyond the Global Communications function to include partners in Marketing, Sports Marketing, Product, Design and more.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 3+ years of professional experience in journalism, content creation, publishing or communications
  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Public Relations, English, Communications, or related field, or equivalent combination of education, experience and training
  • Excellent writing, editing and content curation skills, including understanding of AP Style
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Expertise in content creation for social platforms, digital media or audio/visual (e.g. podcasts)
  • Outstanding task management and coordination across several workstreams
  • Teammate mentality; great relationship-building skills and a collaborative approach
  • Good analytical skills and ability to turn data into insights
  • Proven ability to create strong relationships with collaborators on various levels
  • Passion for sport
