The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a storyteller. We are looking for a creator who can lead by example and has experience managing writing and design teams that deliver visionary enterprise B2B content. The ideal candidate will have a portfolio of work that impacts the entire sales and marketing funnel by focusing on credibility and transforming complex business and technology challenges into engaging and straightforward business and technology solutions. Our content is designed to teach and inspire our audience, not sell to them.
You will leverage your years of design and/or writing experience to lead a team challenged with telling the story of ServiceNow as customer zero. Every day we innovate and deploy workflow solutions that help our company transform the way we work, the way we engage our customers, and the way we grow as a team. By telling our story, we can build a blueprint for our customers that fuels their digital transformation.
As our Editorial and Creative Manager for Now on Now you will lead content development from concept through production and delivery for multiple properties for the business. You’ll be responsible for assessing content opportunities and recommending content strategies that meet business goals and deliver excellent user experiences. You will report to the Director of Content and work closely with all departments to develop and execute concepts and refine creative. An eye for detail and a creative vision are vital to the role as you will be responsible for the quality of content deliverables, management of writers and designers, as well as reviewing, editing and creating original copy and/or design.
Job Duties:
- Provide content leadership on one or multiple content hubs: from initial concepts to briefs, content decks, style guides, and ongoing content curation.
- Ownership of entire creative and editorial process from ideation to delivery including process and impact improvement.
- Maintain tagging taxonomy and/or hierarchy and apply across content properties in the business.
- Manage the content and copy approval process
- Operationalization of content creation processes and standards
- Collaborate on the creation and curation of a content calendar for refreshing content across all platforms
- Collaborate with internal teams to define and develop creative vision and strategy
- Analyze content opportunities and recommend strategies, interactions or approaches
- Provide level-of-effort and time estimates for project deliverables
- Design or create copy for assets and manage copywriters and designers in creating content deliverables
- Review and edit copy deliverables across multiple projects
- Work with designers in the creation of visual comps and other deliverables and review creative with an eye toward content communication
- Assist in the management of client expectations throughout project lifecycle to ensure consistency and quality in creative deliverables
- Oversee multiple projects and ensure content tasks are completed in a timely manner
- Assist in presentations to create buy-in for recommended strategies and solutions
- You must have the ability to leverage a robust ideation system to create innovative content that will be the cornerstone of our brand amplification effort.

In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who:
- 12+ years of equivalent relevant work experience in Editorial, Creative, and Writing
- 5+ years experienced design lead with a background in multi-platform content design.
- Is passionate about coaching, training, and managing other creatives
- Is an independent self-starter and quick learner that is versatile in skillset with the ability to adjust to changing scope and schedule in a fast-paced environment.
- Shows the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to develop program-specific content – some of which is cross-product or multi-product related.
- Is comfortable editing, participating in peer reviews, and ensuring editorial and design standards are met.
- Has experience storytelling in the IT technology space (IT, Security, Enterprise Architecture, Cloud, Mobile Apps and related digital business programs/apps)
- Has experience researching story ideas to help thought leaders craft messages and support those messages with internal and external sourced data.
- Has experience with social media
- Can be a voice of clarity and can take a consultative approach with our key stakeholders.
- Can lead a creative ideation process including workshops and brainstorming sessions.
