What will you be doing? 

As the Director of Content your job is to lead a talented content team in the goal of capturing the voice of AvePoint’s brand through different mediums. You will need to understand and help to create newsworthy stories that will captivate global audiences both internally and externally to the business. This role will report to the VP of Creative and touches all facets of the brand team to drive strategy and the content creation process.  

Your responsibilities will include:  

  • Research, ideate, and create content to enhance the AvePoint brand  
  • Fuel strategic content recommendations for the activation of large-scale marketing campaigns and product launches 
  • Lead the content team and assist with the writing and editing of copy for the website, customer case studies, eBooks, use-cases, video and podcast scripts, social media posts, and blogs. 
  • Work cross-functionally with a global team to create content that supports large and medium scale go-to-market moments (to include product marketing, the business group, graphic designers, video designers, social media managers).  
  • Build content strategies and project plans, and then manage them from start to finish 
  • Portray and enforce the AvePoint brand voice through different mediums 
  • Articulate clear messages to target customers within specific industries  
  • Actively participate in the governance of content assets

Other qualities you will need to be a fit for this role include: 

  • 10+ years across multiple marketing disciplines in the B2B space, preferably within the IT/Software space  
  • 5+ years executing content strategy 
  • Experience leading major content strategy initiatives 
  • Experience creating both technical and non-technical content 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in storytelling and copywriting 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience working on and managing a content team in the B2B software space 
  • Experience working with a global team 
  • Experience creating and managing editorial calendars 
  • Experience working with designers and other team members to distill complex processes and ideas into straightforward and actionable content for top, middle and bottom of the marketing funnel 
  • Knowledge of and experience with multiple content mediums, from video to podcasts and beyond 
  • Experience developing content that is conversational and channel-specific 
  • Experience owning and executing a topical content strategy and track results over time
