Job Description
Your Career
As the Director of Content Marketing for SASE at Palo Alto Networks, you will be responsible for leading the editorial direction, production, execution, and performance measurement of SASE content globally. You will collaborate closely with our product marketing, demand generation and field marketing teams, translating technical material into compelling stories that are easy for our key audiences to consume. The role will be measured against your content's impact on our pipeline, audience engagement, and share of voice in the marketplace.
Your Impact
Lead a global team of content marketing managers to define the content strategy and plan, aligned to our target personas and mapped to the buyer's journey
Establish goals and metrics to measure the quality of content, audience growth, engagement, and content reach
Work collaboratively with campaigns and product marketing teams to develop themes and storylines that resonate with our target audiences
Effectively lead internal and external agencies, vendors, creative teams, and copywriters
Support the content marketing team to write, edit, produce, publish, and promote industry-leading content including white papers, eBooks, listicles, infographics, and briefs
Own the social media marketing functions for SASE
Understand and grow our earned, paid, and owned content strategy
Stay up to date on the emerging trends and needs within the SASE market and adjust content strategies accordingly
Qualifications
Your Experience
At least 15 years of content marketing or product marketing experience in a technical B2B industry
Experience in the cybersecurity or networking industry is preferred
Experience scaling, developing, and managing teams of people is mandatory
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, journalism, communications, or equivalent related work experience
Experience working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to build powerful stories of the highest quality in multiple formats (written, video, blogs)
Experience conducting research and interpreting data, and transforming those findings into intriguing, insightful content
Demonstrated experience with creative storytelling, with the flexibility to write both a newsworthy blog post, or copy edit technical content from contributors who do not have marketing backgrounds
Experience managing social media accounts with an understanding of how to grow a social following and drive engagement
Deep understanding of SEO, the marketing funnel, and the customer journey process that support demand generation and install base marketing
Deep analytical expertise and the ability to use performance metrics to optimize content strategy and make data-driven decisions

Disclosure required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum compensation (includes on-target earnings = base + on target incentives for sales roles) for this role to be located in the state of Colorado. If hired in Colorado, this position starts at $162,800/yr. Depending on the position offered, restricted stock units and incentive or bonus pay may be provided as part of this compensation package.
