The Director of Content Management manages all technical content for our property tax software products. This individual will be responsible for managing various aspects of the property tax content, including timely and accurate updates within the software. In addition, software demonstrations to prospective clients and content support will be provided as necessary. This individual will be the lead software contact for property tax content and forms.
Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan's Key Results

People:

  • Create a positive team member experience.
  • Manage fulltime content specialists, members of which may be offshore.
  • Contribute to the development of team members' skills and applicable software and tax knowledge.


Client:

  • Respond to client inquiries and requests from tax authorities.
  • Build and maintain solid working relationships with taxing jurisdictions.
  • Prepare and deliver software feature demonstrations to prospective clients.


Value:

  • Manage the property tax content area. Oversee all aspects of this product area as it relates to creating and delivering taxing jurisdiction content:
    • Oversee the research and analysis on thousands of taxing jurisdictions requirements.
    • Ensure document regulations, filing forms and property tax content is accurately maintained in the system.
    • Manage and develop content into deliverables based on requirements in accordance with company standards and goals for content management.
  • Keep up with law changes and timely implement such changes.
  • Drive solutions that create efficiencies for property tax users.
  • Collaborate horizontally across the platform infrastructure on research data and content.
  • Review test findings of the property tax software functionality.
  • Meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with aggressive schedules.
  • Lead or participate in other projects or duties as assigned.



Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in area related, but not limited, to Accounting, Finance, Information Systems Development, Business Administration, Content Management and ten years equivalent industry experience. Experience with tax software required. Management experience required.

Skills:

  • Strong domain knowledge of assigned tax area.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine scope, topics, and requirements for content development projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects across various teams.
  • Excellent communication (oral, written, presentation and facilitation) skills.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment.
  • Ability to work well in a virtual environment.


Computer Skills:

  • Experience maintaining of relational databases desirable.
  • Standard Microsoft Office Products: Outlook, Word and Excel. Access would be beneficial but not required.


Certificates and Licenses:

Preference for Property Tax industry specific training and certifications such as Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT).

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manage fulltime content specialists, members of which may be offshore.

Work Environment:

  • Standard indoor working environment.
  • Occasional long periods of sitting while working at computer.
  • Position requires regular interaction with employees at all levels of the firm as well as interaction with external vendors and clients as necessary.
  • Independent travel requirement: up to 10%.
