The Curriculum Manager, Digital Curriculum will oversee Activity Specialists, which is part of the larger Digital Curriculum Team. The Activity Specialist creates digital lessons, practice, and assessments for Amplify Math. The Curriculum Manager, Digital Curriculum reports to the Director, Digital Curriculum.
Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of Activity Specialists.
  • Lead regular meetings with their Activity Specialist Team
  • Ensure that their Activity Specialist Team meets deadlines set in coordination with the Director, Digital Curriculum and the Project Management team.
  • Work with Digital Curriculum leadership, HR, and Talent Acquisition to identify and hire new talent.
  • Onboard new team members.
  • Participate in workshops with Curriculum, Design and Digital Interactive teams


The Curriculum Manager, Digital Curriculum also shares the following responsibilities with the rest of their Activity Specialist Team:

  • Author digital lessons, practice, and assessments that are consistent with print component counterparts
  • Revise digital content based on feedback from Digital Curriculum leadership, editorial, the Digital Production team, the Design team, and based on feedback from users and customers of the curriculum
  • Meet regularly with the Curriculum Team and editorial team in ideating digital activities and sharing digital content authored to date
  • Work with the Design team in integrating images and illustrations into digital lessons
  • Tag content with appropriate metadata, including standards and scoring
  • Work with Digital Interaction team to spec out and incorporate complex digital graphs or manipulatives into lessons and other activities


Basic Qualifications:

  • At least two years of authoring experience with Desmos Activity Builder and with the Desmos graphing calculator.
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, mathematics education, or anotherquantitative field.
  • Comfort in the following mathematical domains:
    • Advanced algebra
    • Trigonometry
    • Calculus
    • Statistics
  • At least 5 years of face-to-face classroom teaching experience, preferably in Grades 6-12
  • Proficiency using digital teamwork tools, including spreadsheets and Google Drive
  • At least 6 months of experience with the Amplify Math curriculum
  • Prior experience leading a team of math educators or curriculum developers


Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least one year of editorial experience with curriculum, either as part of a school district or publisher
