Creative Content Specialist
Job Description
As an integral part of the in-house creative studio, you will be responsible for collaborating with writers, graphic designers, legal team members and marketers to ensure brand-compliant, customer-centric messaging and images for print and digital marketing collateral. Candidate must possess a mix of technical, analytical, and creative skills, from proofreading and editing content to supporting artists, designers and writers throughout the production and creative process. Candidate must have Microsoft Office and Agility experience. Must be a process-oriented self-starter who is extremely detail-oriented and highly organized.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Proofread, enhance and edit copy for grammar, spelling and punctuation while adhering to the brand style and voice.
• Collaborate with artists, designers, copywriters and preflighters throughout the creative and production process to help determine the most effective style and format for copy and images.
• Research and ensure the integrity of all data provided by vendors, merchants, and collateral business owners.
• Work effectively with internal and external partners including Merchandising, Marketing and Legal to accelerate the production of print and digital media projects.
• Help to catalog and reference photography for future projects.
• Provide solutions that support development and production of new creative formats.
• Craft brand-compliant, legally approved copy (including product descriptions, brand value props and various program benefits) for print and digital marketing collateral that may include catalogs, Direct Mail, store signage, web pages, social posts, display ads and more.
• Work with multiple applications and databases to perform job functions, including Agility and Microsoft Office.
Education & Experience:
Level of Formal Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Area of Study: Technical Writing, Marketing, Communications
Years of Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in related field
Type of Experience: Copywriting, Editing, Proofreading, Design, Marketing
Technical Competencies: Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Agility, proficient in both Mac and PC systems
Skills and Ability:
• Strong writing, proofreading and editing skills
• Organizational and time management skills
• Impeccable attention to detail
• Familiarity with multiple media channels including Digital, Print, Social, and Video
• Proficiency in Agility
Personal Attributes: Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with designers, writers and account managers in a range of roles and responsibilities
