Flex is an early-stage, remote-first FinTech startup that is bringing flexible payments to recurring bills. It’s hard to believe that it’s 2022 and you’re still not able to choose when you pay your bills. Flex is here to change that! Flex is a multi-bill platform. We began by revolutionizing rent — Americans’ largest recurring bill. We enable our users to pay rent and bills throughout the month on a schedule that better fits their finances. With Flex, everybody can better manage their bills and budget. After deliberately keeping a stealth profile as we built up unprecedented investor support and an enthusiastic user base, we plan to scale to 300 team members in 2022. Will you be a part of the team?

As a Copywriter, you will bring the brand voice to life. You will be responsible for crafting key messaging for the brand. You will partner with the creative director, designers, marketing team members, and possibly agencies to create concepts, campaigns and programs.

What You'll Do:

  • Write copy for emails, SMS, paid ads, and other marketing vehicles.
  • Leverage customer insights to develop and evolve messaging and language.
  • Ensure consistency across all touchpoints
  • Craft language directed towards consumers, partners, potential partners, investors and employees.

Who You Are:

  • 5+ years of experience as a writer (editor as well, a plus)
  • Proven understanding of branding and corporate identity and ability to translate into a visual identity
  • Deep knowledge and practical experience with brand guidelines, concept decks, creative briefs, etc.
  • Strong communicator who is comfortable selling ideas both internally and externally and to C-Suite leadership
  • Ability to develop creative in partnership with a creative writer and marketing team
  • Agency and people management experience

An Insider's view of Flex

What does your typical day look like?

Depending on the week, you'll find me prepping for training calls, scheduling account reviews, meeting with partners to introduce our product, and working with our Product and CS teams on troubleshooting and implementation items. I also set timers that remind me to take breaks at least 4 times a day and take walks during lunch and after work.
