Contract Real Estate Subject Matter Expert(SME), Ohio
ABOUT THIS POSITION
Aceable is looking for a part time (5-10 hours/week; will vary by week) real estate subject matter
expert to act as a consultant and reviewer for our Ohio real estate pre-license education course.
This person will serve as an expert consultant to assist with real estate related questions and
serve as a resource for our content team, providing feedback on the development of written and
visual content. They will be a licensed agent or broker who has in-depth knowledge of all
aspects of the real estate profession including law, contracts, agency, and basic principles of
real estate.

ABOUT YOUR NEW TEAM
You’ll work closely with Aceable team members from many different walks of life. A former
teacher, a greeting card writer, two roller derby girls, some Hollywood escapees, a former 911
operator, a Harvard technologist, a rogue real estate school pundit, and so many more make up
this elite squad of real estate education disruptors.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
● Work with an instructional designer to define learning outcomes and provide guidance on
the curricular development of learning modules, exercises, or other teaching methods to
effectively teach key real estate concepts for state licensure
● Review course content and learning objectives to ensure adequate coverage and
alignment with state licensing requirements
● Support writers in curating content and building modules as required, providing guidance
on content examples, misconceptions, exceptions, and assessment questions
● Support creation of assessment questions and case study examples/scenarios for
written content
● Fact check real estate course content while following state-specific guidelines
● Use your industry expertise to provide real-world examples and case studies to enhance
our students’ learning experiences and help them apply newly learned concepts
● Collaborate with the writing team by addressing their questions about real estate
concepts and advising them on best practices from the perspective of an industry
professional
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
● Extensive knowledge in real estate and the ability to use your real-world experience to
help teach these concepts effectively
● Familiarity with federal and Ohio state real estate laws, as well as the ability to research
and interpret real estate law
● High attention to detail
● A solid understanding of the real estate language/terms/jargon used in the state
● Stamina to read through an immense amount of course material and edit for accuracy
● Ability to thrive under pressure with a positive demeanor
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
