About Us

At SimplePractice, our team is dedicated to improving the health and wellness industry by building a suite of innovative solutions for practitioners and their clients. Our product supports practitioners on their clinical journey to becoming licensed, helps them manage their business and practice once they’re up and running, and enables new clients to discover and interact with practitioners. Taking a practitioner-first approach in everything we do makes it possible for health and wellness practitioners to devote more time to their clients while they use SimplePractice to start, grow, and maintain a successful private practice.

The Role

Are you ready to help break down the barriers to mental health care? We’re seeking an experienced writer who can craft compelling copy and content that supports our audience in their mental health and wellness journey. You will support our VP of Marketing and Managing Editor in building out our editorial library to increase customer engagement with short-form, long-form, and high-value content across channels.

In your first month, you’ll learn about our product and customers and work closely with the Monarch team to understand our mission, vision, and goals. You’ll help shape the Monarch brand voice and write copy across email communications, blog articles, landing pages, and more.

The ideal candidate for this role will bring solid experience in writing actionable marketing copy and long-form content, demonstrate passionate work ethic, and show strong attention to detail. Passion about mental health is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Study, shape, and champion the Monarch brand voice
  • Write website copy and A/B test headlines with a strong drive toward conversion
  • Write compelling SEO-driven content and articles that offer actionable insights, original research and a fresh perspective on mental health
  • Assist the Managing Editor and other stakeholders with copy editing needs
  • Draft email marketing communications for the customer lifecycle and iteratively test your copy—especially headlines, subject lines, and CTAs
  • Monitor and investigate social media, industry publications and community forums to generate ideas for content
  • Collaborate with the Managing Editor and Junior Editor on editorial calendar planning

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 3-5 years of copywriting experience (portfolio required)
  • Long-form content writing experience (examples of blog posts or articles)
  • Copyediting experience, familiar with Chicago Style formatting
  • Must have a self-motivated mindset with the drive to research and understand user behavior and psychology
  • B2C experience in the health and/or wellness industry is strongly preferred
