At Shopmonkey, our Content Marketing Team works to meet prospects and customers with the right content, at the right time – no matter where they are in their journey with us.
We are looking for a smart, humble, and hungry Content Writer to join the team to help educate the automotive industry on our single shop management software solution.
You Will Have The Opportunity To:
- Live and breathe our brand voice and make it come alive through the creation of short and long-form written content.
- Bring value to our audience by writing diverse sets of content including but not limited to case studies, use cases, eBooks, web pages, and thought leadership pieces.
- Work cross-functionally to determine what data-driven, well-informed content will resonate with prospects and customers, and support Shopmonkey’s goals.
- Speak directly with Shopmonkey customers to understand and tell their stories.
- Play a strategic role in identifying customers’ needs and recommending new content to address gaps in the company's current content library.
- Create, maintain, and enforce a Shopmonkey style guide through rigorous copy-editing processes and practices.
We Are Looking For You If You:
- Love storytelling and have an understanding of marketing and a knack for hooking a target audience with great writing.
- Are able to quickly pick up and write for any brand voice like it’s your own.
- Know how to write for humans while being SEO friendly.
- Can translate complex business and technology jargon into friendly, casual, and direct language.
- Are not afraid to quickly learn new tools and software – after all, we’re a software company and you’ll be writing about our products.
- Can spot a missing comma from a mile away.
- Find joy in a face-paced environment that has no shortage of content needs.
- Enjoy memes, GIFs, and a good laugh.
Bonus Points:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, english, journalism, or related field.
- Proven content writing or copywriting experience.
- A portfolio of published articles.
- Excellent copy-editing skills.
