Job Description Are you passionate about storytelling and developing engaging content to help drive change? We are seeking a Senior Marketing Associate, Content Writer & Strategist to support content creation, editorial and distribution for public, client-facing and internal channels. This individual will be a key member of the global content team and is responsible for conceptualizing, writing and editing content for a variety of digital platforms, including web, video, email marketing campaigns and other collateral to support key business priorities. The role will support the J.P. Morgan Payments strategic narrative and help shape how we tell our story in an engaging, differentiated way.
The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of producing both short and long-form content and editing copy for consistency of brand tone and voice. This role is perfect for someone who is creative, has a passion for storytelling, and can drive change through content, messaging, graphics and campaigns.
Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize and write compelling content for B2B and B2C financial decision makers across a wide range of company sizes and industries.
  • Create engaging thought leadership stories and persuasive messaging to drive engagement, brand awareness and action.
  • Adapt messaging and designs by channel - digital (web and email), social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook), video, infographics, third-party and paid media, press, and virtual webcasts and events.
  • Work with internal partners (writers, designers, product marketers, and channel owners), business stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop thought leadership content and sales enablement materials that highlight our unique differentiators and strengthens our positioning.
  • Understand the needs and personas of audience segments, and tailor voice and messaging for audience segments (company size and industry).
  • P rovide perspective and assert a viewpoint towards refined digital experiences and distribution into new channels.
  • Liaise with the various functional areas, including Product Marketing, Client Communications, and Events, to ensure projects aligned to overall strategy and business needs.
  • Organize and prioritize content project requests, including creating project plans and timelines.
  • Own, champion and govern the voice, tone and style guidelines for Wholesale Payments.
  • Become versed in brand standards and customer segments (needs, motivations, challenges, voice).
  • Research and recommend new ideas based on competitive reviews, social listening, industry trends, customer experience research and performance metrics.
  • Ensure content adheres to control, audit, legal and compliance requirements.
  • Project manage workload, track and report progress, deliver against deadlines.


Qualifications:

  • 5 years of professional content development experience, including feature article writing, copywriting, editing and proofreading. Experience writing for B2B, B2C audiences or in financial services, business, technology or healthcare a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications or other related degree. Knowledge of digital marketing tactics, including SEO, email marketing and web analytics.
  • A proven blend of editorial and storytelling skills, including short-form (e.g. social media posts) and long-form (e.g. thought leadership articles). Experience in creating compelling content for traditional (e.g. sales collateral) and digital channels (e.g. web, email, social, video).
  • Highly creative, bringing a diverse perspective that makes content stand out.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills as well as ability to build collaborative relationships and effectively partner across teams, functions and levels.
  • Able to gather, interpret and incorporate feedback from a large group of stakeholders
  • Proven end-to-end project management with the ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of brand marketing and user-centered best practices and a customer-obsessed mindset.
  • High degree of professionalism and flexibility - equally comfortable working independently and as a team.
  • Experience with project management and production tools (Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint, Workfront, and Associated Press (AP) style.
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and PitchPRO+ is a plus, but not required.
