Big Red Rooster (a JLL company) is looking for a Content Strategist to join our Strategy team. The ideal candidate is motivated by creating impactful consumer-first solutions that drive business results for our clients. The role of this individual, reporting to the Director of Strategy, will be to give a voice to the design process that effectively articulates solutions and inspires teams. An understanding of information architecture combined with an innovative mindset and the ability to influence will differentiate this individual's role on the team. In addition, this individual will have a deep understanding of the power of brand and how it's utilized in the context of omni-channel retail.

Responsibilities

  • Influence the creation of client and prospective client deliverables across mediums to ensure influential and impactful story telling. Provide asset lists, guide content creation, and support distribution of that content
  • Develop content briefs for digital and immersive retail experiences. Work with both internal and external teams to execute against briefs as appropriate
  • Lead stakeholder interviews to extract key themes, stories, messages
  • Conduct measurement and analysis on the return on content investment. Take corrective action as necessary
  • Ensure all content is clear, easy to understand, and written in natural language. Reinforce brand voice and tonality in executed work
  • Collaborate with other strategists, designers, and client service leaders to contribute to our internal design system, content strategy community of practice, best practices, and guidelines
  • Map out content types, structures, editorial voice, and workflow processes. Develop content calendars
  • Work closely with clients to gather feedback an enhance strategies. Participate in client discussions and facilitating workshops to build team and client consensus around content offerings at the onset of a project
  • Execute strategy best practices and tools across accounts
  • Interact regularly with Managing Director, SVP Strategy, and cross functional team members virtually and in person as needed for the completion of assigned projects
  • Analyze the competitive marketplace and content strategies/trends
  • Assist in other areas of the business as needed.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, Master's degree a plus
  • 5 years experience in journalism, content creation, editorial or information architecture
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas through writing
  • Proficient in digital content including websites, social media, blogs and mobile/tablet applications
  • Seeks out and responds well to feedback and direction
  • General understanding of the retail landscape across sectors
  • High degree of intellectual curiosity
  • Ability to influence without authority across multiple levels
  • Ability to work independently or with little supervision with a bias for action
