Location Details: 

This position is open to the following states (remotely): Arizona, Maryland, Michigan, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia.

At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

Remote: This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home.You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or offsites.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

As a Creative Specialist on the Social Media team, you would be the voice for local businesses throughout the country -- crafting original content to post on social media. Through your daily work, you will connect local businesses with their existing customer base as well as new customers. Part of your role will include protecting and enhancing their online reputation through community management as well as responding to customer reviews on platforms like Yelp, Google, Facebook, and TripAdvisor. What you'll get to do...

  • Create original written and visual content for a wide-ranging portfolio of local businesses located throughout the country -- this means everything from restaurants, bars, boutiques, real estate agents, auto repair, to home services, and much more.
  • Use independent judgment combined with the identity of the customer to highlight the customer’s brand and voice with end consumers.
  • Engage and connect with online audiences, fans, and consumers on Facebook, Twitter, Google, Yelp, and Instagram.
  • Apply a critical eye for your own work to ensure clean, high-quality content that supports customer brand focus.
  • Use discretion to act on customer’s feedback and social marketing trends to increase customer’s exposure.
  • Incorporate feedback from editors and the leadership team to improve your work quality.
  • Expertly balance daily and weekly deadlines with department initiatives, using multiple tools.
  • Tackle any other responsibilities that may arise in a fast-moving environment.

Your experience should include...

  • Associate's degree or higher in communication, business, or a related subject area preferred.
  • Excellent writing and communications skills (sentence structure, grammar, varied vocabulary, spelling, style, strong typing speed with high accuracy, and attention to detail).
  • A creative mentality that shows through your work.
  • Customer-first attitude and the ability to adapt your writing voice to various audiences.
  • Ability to use independent judgment to improve a customer’s marketing potential.
  • Passion for helping local businesses.
  • Deadline-driven and detail-oriented attitude and aptitude.
  • Personal ambition to embrace challenges and go the extra mile.
  • Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms. You can easily translate messages on different platforms to reach different audiences.
  • Writing engaging content is second nature to you.
  • Familiarity with basic design principles and lightweight visual design tools.
