Job Title: Content Migration Specialist

Company: Aitheras LLC

Client: United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM)

Compensation: $50-$52/hour

Length: 4 Months

About Aitheras LLC:

Aitheras LLC is a service-oriented organization that prides itself in delivering cutting-edge technology solutions to its clients. At present, we are seeking a qualified Content Migration Specialist for our client, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM).

The USHMM's website, ushmm.org, receives approximately 8 million visitors annually. With an imminent transition of the website from its current content management system (CMS), ExpressionEngine, to a new system, Contentful, we require the expertise of two content migration specialists to ensure a seamless transition.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as an active participant in the Agile project management environment alongside the client's Museum Experience and Digital Media (MEDM) staff. This includes participating in stand-ups, sprint planning sessions, retrospectives, and work sessions.

  2. Prepare content and assets for migration into the Museum's Digital Asset Management (DAM) system and Contentful.

  3. Migrate approximately 2,000 pages from ExpressionEngine to new templates in Contentful. This includes transferring text, titles, social cards, and other copy from ExpressionEngine to the appropriate page in Contentful, and inserting the correct assets from the Museum's DAM into the pages.

  4. Review and rectify any errors found in approximately 2,000 dynamically migrated pages, including broken links, missing assets, and others.

  5. Regularly update tracking documents and project management software to provide accurate production status.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Strong work ethic, with a meticulous attention to detail.

  2. Previous experience with at least one CMS, and a capacity to quickly adapt to new software and web-based systems.

  3. Proficiency in Google Suite and familiarity with HTML and CSS.

  4. Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, ideally scrum. Familiarity with Trello and Slack is also desirable.

This position is full-time and is open for immediate appointment. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply at the earliest. The compensation structure and other benefits will be discussed during the interview process.

If you are passionate about technology, enjoy working in a dynamic environment, and look forward to making a real difference, apply today and join the Aitheras LLC team.
