About the Role

As part of the Content Marketing Center of Excellence, the Content Management Specialist is responsible for implementing content marketing strategies to achieve brand and sales targets. This role will use various approaches to effectively produce content that increases brand visibility, demand, and conversion. While not a writing position, successful candidates must be comfortable providing feedback or editing and reviewing written work.

You will find success in this role by following content marketing best practices and aligning that activity with strategic partners across the company. Optimizing the production and performance of content will be part of every day in this role. This will involve working with internal content creators as well as agencies and freelance vendors. You will use your creativity and eye for detail to set our writers and creators up for success.

With your ideas and experience, you will turn content themes and strategies into appealing and engaging assets. The ability to imagine stories, insights, and ideas that span the entire customer journey will be important in this role. But so will the practical details of production timelines, asset management, and working with your peers to get it all done right and on time.

Note: This is a *hybrid role (*mix of working from home and in-office each week) and can be based in either of these Hub office locations: Minneapolis/St. Paul area (Eagan), Dallas area (Carrollton).

In this opportunity as Content Management Specialist - Content Marketing, you will:

  • Produce content marketing assets based on strategic plans and alignment with business goals
  • Manage content calendars and timelines, giving visibility and predictability to internal stakeholders and partners
  • Build the brand through a customer-centric approach to content marketing, delivering valuable assets that speak to the interests of our audience
  • Apply a holistic approach to content marketing that encompasses written, visual, and multimedia assets to reach our audience where and how they prefer
  • Build your career by staying informed of trends and best practices within the field
  • Collaborate with partners across the broader business, including internal Subject Matter Experts, Content Strategy Advisors, Product Marketing, Production Coordinators, Designers, and more
  • Develop a spectrum of content that reflects the total business needs, from organic, customer-focused content to tactical, campaign-specific assets



About You

You could be a fit for the role of Content Management Specialist - Content Marketing if you:

  • Have 3 to 5 years' of experience writing excellent effective content, or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Have an ability to balance production timelines of multiple assets across a variety of topics
  • Have a high standard for detail and quality control
  • Have an appetite for content performance and optimization
  • Are creative, happy to spend time on both ideas and execution
  • Are passionate about your work. Even if the subject matter isn't your cup of tea, you see value in doing it right, making content that's worth consuming
  • Are comfortable reaching out to people: subject matter experts, writers, peers, etc.
  • Are a learner, interested in understanding the challenges and opportunities affecting Thomson Reuters customers and audiences
