Reporting to the Senior Director - Content, Adoption & Field Events Strategy, you will play a critical role in the engagement with and success of our field organization. You'll be responsible for the design, development and implementation of field sales enablement strategies and integrated content in support of planning, products and key enterprise priorities. You'll provide guidance, leadership and expertise on the design & delivery of highly effective content and engagement strategies focused on improving financial representative productivity, driving field adoption of product change initiatives and accelerating sales growth.
Accountabilities:
- Provide leadership, execution and support of field engagement strategies and content, including the development of field sales enablement and support plans, for assigned products, integrated planning, advisor segments, markets and/or key enterprise priorities.
- Serve as strategic lead in driving the evolution of field-facing materials that drive compelling messaging through innovative channels, resulting in high engagement and adoption from the field.
- Lead co-creation and cross-functional teams (field and home office) to ensure successful alignment, integration and delivery of high impact field enablement and adoption strategies and materials through all channels.
- Design key messages and positioning strategies (e.g. identify and design right resource and message for right target audience) that resonate with field audiences & home office support teams and drive measurable behavior change. Align messaging to advisor segments, corporate persona, planning philosophy and relevant to client life stages as appropriate.
- Leverage current and propose new channels (e.g., live/virtual events, print, digital, mobile) for impactful delivery and engagement. Evaluate and manage the methods used to deliver consistent messaging and ensure effective communications are aligned to the Northwestern Mutual brand.
- Leverage research insights through primary and secondary methodologies to translate into relevant content strategies for target audiences.
- Provide internal and field communications support and ensure integrated themes and messages are clear to target audiences as assigned.
- Support the Senior Director in annual strategic and operational planning.
Bring your best! What this role needs:
- B.S. /B.A. degree in business, sales, marketing, communications or equivalent.
- A minimum of 7 years' experience in designing content and adoption strategies, field sales enablement and engagement plans, and promoting products and/or services to distribution systems and/or end users.
- Demonstrated ability and proven success in identifying opportunities to develop creative solutions and implement initiatives with quality and within scope.
- Exceptional leadership and project management skills and able to drive projects forward and comfortable working in ambiguous situations.
- Excellent ability to identify and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders representing a broad range of functions and levels in order to advance the objectives of the organization.
- Knowledgeable on how to best leverage multiple channels of communication and engagement with target audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage research insights and metrics, develop insights and impacts, and adjust programs as needed.
- Demonstrated strategic agility through anticipation of future consequences and trends, and use of broad knowledge and perspective to create competitive strategies and articulate credible pictures and visions of possibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets to accomplish business objectives
