Metagenics is looking for a Consumer Copywriter to join our team working to build a best-in-class product. This role takes a customer first approach to content. Thinks strategically, operates methodically, and demonstrates extreme customer empathy with their writing. They are inspired by tackling new creative challenges, are a self-starter and comfortable with ambiguity.
The Consumer Copywriter has strong attention to detail, and will define and create standards, patterns, and mechanisms to create net new copy that is crisp, clear, and customer centric. They are obsessed with understanding how our customers think, and they fiercely advocate for the best possible user experience for them. They strive to ensure that customers have the right information when they need it.
Responsibilities
What you'll do:
  • Create compelling and effective copy for campaigns across digital and social channels for all mediums: email, digital, video, experiential, etc. with the utmost attention to detail.
  • Participate in all meetings, calls, and creative briefings for the internal teams. Delivering thoughtful solutions to client briefs.
  • Support day-to-day creative deliverables such as emails, social posts, product detail, landing, and category pages.
  • Manage projects', creative assets and schedules to ensure on-time deliverables.
  • Always strive to find the big idea, but also recognize little nuances that give the perfect tone and feel.
  • Be current on trends beyond advertising - understanding what is relevant in both culture and technology.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned that are within the scope of duties enumerated above.

What you'll need:
Experience / Training / Education
  • 5+ years' experience as a marketing copywriter with plenty of examples of short form copy (emails, ad banners, web copy)
  • Experience working on large, integrated, cross-channel campaigns - and a killer book to boot.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
  • Possess strong consumer copywriting background / skills.
  • Familiar with content management systems.
  • Be both right brained and left brained - but never overthink the work.
  • Resilient in the face of ambiguity and change.
  • Should be a strong internal communicator, excellent at managing up and down, and a great presenter for pitches.
  • Exceptional time-management, organization, written/verbal communication skills.
  • Energy, curiosity, and an ability to maintain your sense of humor under tight timelines and long hours.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Word, Google shared documents and Keynote

Physical requirements/working conditions:
  • Sits at a computer station, meeting table or work desk for more than two-thirds of each day
  • Stands and walks to other stations and departments throughout the day
  • Uses hands and fingers to operate computers and office equipment most of the day
  • May stoop or crouch to access files or storage
  • Requires clear vision at 20 inches or less with or without corrective lenses
  • Hearing and speech within normal ranges and sufficient for clear communication face to face and especially via the telephone
  • Lifts up to 10 pounds regularly; lifts 25 pounds occasionally
  • Exposed to noise levels typical of office environments

Compensation:
The current range for this role based out of Aliso Viejo, CA is $80,000/yr - $85,000/yr.
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
