The Associate Content Developer is responsible for the assistance in and management of the item-development process of variously sized test-development projects. The Associate Content Developer assists with and conducts meetings with subject matter experts to write and review examination items, assemble examinations using proprietary software, and ensure that test schedules are developed and maintained. The Associate Content Developer is also responsible for the assistance in and management of project-specific item databases to ensure the accuracy of items and the export of test forms. The Associate Content Developer also participates in the building, testing, releasing, localizing, and maintaining of each product.

Responsibilities

Content Management 45%

  • Learn and use content management systems, processes, and policies
  • Review and evaluate content for consistency and accuracy to certification industry standards
  • Analyze and improve item performance
  • Plan maintenance of existing content
  • Assist Content Development team members with the activities listed above.


Contractor Management 25%

  • Provide assistance to subject matter experts
  • Coordinate resources for meetings and content development
  • Assign work and manage workflow for resources
  • Assist Content Development team members with the activities listed above.


Project Management 20%

  • Help develop and assist others in the creation and maintenance of overall schedules
  • Set deadlines and manage subject matter expert schedules including but not limited to JTA coordination, Item Writing assignments and Technical Reviews
  • Track due dates for multiple projects and participate in status meetings
  • Assist Content Development team members with the activities listed above.


Facilitation - 10%

  • Maintain workshop materials
  • Work with Content Development members to define shared meeting facilitation needs
  • Assist in the facilitation of Item Writing Training, JTA workshops, Tech Reviews, Standard Setting meetings, and other meetings
  • Assist in in-house training on the exam development processes and other subjects as required
  • Assist Content Development team members with the activities listed above.


Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Liberal Arts, English, Education, Information Technology, Instructional Design or equivalent
  • Professional test development experience preferred
  • Professional and/or project management experience preferred
  • Content editing (grammar, spelling), Blooms taxonomy application experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of all Microsoft Office products
  • High degree of technical literacy
  • Experience with Agile development methodology preferred


A background in the testing and assessment industry is strongly preferred. Item and Test Development experience, as well as training experience, is a plus.
