As Content Editor in Chief, you’ll lead our global content marketing efforts across owned and earned media channels. You’re an excellent writer with a strong journalistic background, possess expertise in AI tools, and have experience in supporting top-tier influencer programs. You’ll provide support for mid and upper funnel marketing efforts, support McAfee content engine, work on blogs and customer storytelling, videos, engaging content for social, etc.
This is a remote position; however you may be required to be onsite at our Frisco, TX office on as-needed basis. We will only consider candidates who are a commutable distance to Frisco or Dallas and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.

About the role: 
Content Strategy and Development:

  • Create and develop a strategic vision for McAfee’s content channels, executing strategies through localized content and engagement platforms to support product marketing, comms, and monetization with brand goals aligned with company goals and objectives

  • Create high-quality written content, including blog posts, reports, web pages, case studies, ebooks, and more, to establish thought leadership and engage our global audience

  • Leverage consumer insights, research, and syndicated data to evaluate and develop opportunities to grow customer acquisition and engagement

AI Integration:

  • Leverage AI tools and technologies to enhance content creation, distribution, and analysis, staying at the forefront of AI-driven content trends

  • Global Content Distribution:

  • Oversee global distribution of content across various owned and earned media channels, including websites, social media, email marketing, and industry publications

Influencer Program Management:

  • Partner with Brand and PR to support a world-class influencer marketing program

  • Collaborate with influencers to co-create content and promote it through their channels

Content Analytics and Optimization:

  • Monitor and analyze content performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns

  • Continuously optimize content strategies based on data-driven insights

  • Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Lead a team of content writing professionals, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and excellence

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments such as product marketing, sales, and CX to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging

  • Coordinate with e-commerce channel teams, in close partnership with SEO team, to enhance discoverability and amplification of content via owned channels (website and SEO)

  • Execute global content & campaigns with high-quality creative excellence, managing content developers, external agencies, and internal creative content teams to deliver full-funnel campaigns globally

 
About you:

  • Al least 5 years (we’d love more!) of experience in content marketing, with focus on cybersecurity or technology.

  • BA/BS/BBA degree in Journalism or a related field preferred; Master's degree preferred

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a strong journalistic background

  • Familiarity with core e-Commerce, analytics tools and social management platform: Adobe Analytics & Marketing Cloud, Google Search Console, SEM rush, Ahrefs, Brandwatch, HootSuite, etc.

  • Journalists from tech or media publications are preferred and are highly encouraged to apply

  • Proficiency with using AI tools for content creation and analysis

  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful influencer marketing programs

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions

  • Experience with video and multimedia content is highly desired

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities
