About the Role
We are seeking a Compensation Analyst to join our People Team at 10x Genomics. This person will be supporting and administering compensation programs and initiatives, including best-in-class compensation packages, long term incentive plans. As a member of the People Team at 10x Genomics, the focus of responsibility will be on creating best-in-class compensation packages to attract and retain top talent. This role will work closely with HR and business leaders to ensure competitive and equitable compensation strategies that align with the company's goals.
The ideal candidate has a strong analytical background, is experienced in developing and writing business process documents, and is equally strong at driving execution around multiple compensation plans. What you will be doing:
- Participate in compensation surveys, performs market research, analyze data, and formulates recommendations regarding the design of our compensation equity programs
- Assists with the analysis, design, and administration of base pay, bonus, and equity processes, including merit increases, equity refreshers, and performance reviews.
- Conducts job analysis and evaluations on new and revised positions to determine appropriate title, salary grade, pay and incentive level, job code, and FLSA classification, etc. Ensures compliance with all federal and state laws.
- Supports the annual plan and forecast processes by calculating bonus pools and summarizing the financial impact of all comp plan changes across the global organization.
- Collaborates and provides consultative support with HR team members and management on compensation-related issues as well as initiatives including job classification process and assignments.
- Develops and prepares reoccurring compensation reporting/analytics and provides support for ad-hoc reporting requests. Conducts regular audits of compensation data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Assists with development and implementation of annual compensation review programs.
- Participates in the market benchmarking process by being the main point of contact with vendor contacts and maintaining market pricing system.
- Assists with reviewing and approving proposed salary and incentive compensation changes.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or experience in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or Business.
- 3+ years of compensation experience, including experience administering base base pay, variable pay, and long term incentive compensation programs, policies, and practices
- Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in HR and Finance.
- Demonstrated analytical and project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Skilled in developing and delivering presentations to varying audiences including employees and various levels of management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient with MS Office and Google Suites and strong knowledge of Excel and Google Sheets.
- Intermediate knowledge of HR systems (Workday experience is preferred)
Below is the base pay range for this full time position. The actual base pay will depend on several factors unique to each candidate, including one’s skills, qualifications, and experience. At 10x, base pay is also just one component of the Company’s total compensation package. This role is also eligible for 10x’s equity grants, its comprehensive health and retirement benefit programs, and its annual bonus program or sales incentive program. $144,500—$195,500 USD
