We are looking for a strategic financial leader to drive performance and growth in our Belgian market, leading finance operations and partnering with key business leaders, whilst simultaneously support EU commercial teams

  • Scope Ice Cream Belgium & EU  

  • Reports to: CFO Ice Cream Netherlands 

  • Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands, with strong preference for Brussels travel 

  • Terms & Conditions: Full-time

ABOUT ICE CREAM FINANCE

JOB PURPOSE: 

We are looking for a strategic financial leader to drive value creation and growth in our Belgian market, leading finance operations and partnering with key business leaders. In parallel we are looking for talent to drive strategic alignment and operational excellence across Ice Cream Europe by shaping and implementing key commercial finance processes. You will lead the setup of robust pricing governance, mitigate financial risks from market consolidation, and harmonize commercial terms across countries. If you are passionate about delivering high performance in a complex business environment with a problem-solving and owner’s mindset, this is the role for you.  

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Business Performance 

  • Delivering the in-year P&L, driving and shaping business performance 
  • Performance analysis and interventions for delivery of in-year financial targets 
  • Support the CD teams Belgium, support commercial decision making for both IH and OOH CD teams  

EU Commercial Finance  

  • Set up European pricing governance with corridors 
  • Harmonize trade terms across EU 
  • Inspire local teams with best practices 
  • Implement new pricing hierarchy and S&OP process 

 
Stewardship 

  • Ensure strong Forecast accuracy  
  • Trade Terms Controls  

 
Leadership 

  • Finance business partnering  
  • Owners’ mindset  
  • Inspiring local teams with EU best practices 

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:  

SKILLS, EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS    

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related area.

  • Excellent commercial acumen & strong business partnering credentials with a proven track record on delivery 

  • Preferred Exposure to key value creation initiatives such as NRM, IBP, F4G 

  • Financial forecasting and cash up exposure, with a track record in driving Forecast accuracy 

  • Owner’s mindset towards business challenges. Ability to tackle complex situations, evaluate alternative courses of action, and provide fact-based solutions. 

  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytic skills, with ability to influence and steer the decisions and work collaboratively. 

  • Excellent inter-personal, communication and influencing skills, strong business partnering and interpersonal skills.
